Youth Bootcamp
Mobile-first → Computer-ready
Starting in Ghana & Nigeria — Built for the Continent
SankoLabs equips young Africans with the digital skills, AI fluency, and professional identity to compete anywhere in the world.
The Gap
Across Africa, a generation of young people hold powerful devices in their hands — but lack the structured pathway to turn that access into a professional future. The smartphone is the starting line. SankoLabs builds the track.

Our Name
Sankofa is a word from the Akan language of Ghana. It means: "go back and get it." It is represented by a bird that flies forward while looking back — carrying the wisdom of the past into the future.
We chose this name intentionally. Africa's young people carry centuries of ingenuity, community, and resilience. SankoLabs is where that heritage meets the tools of tomorrow: AI, design, remote work, and global professional identity.
The “Labs” is equally deliberate — a space of experimentation, learning, and building. Not a classroom. A launchpad.
“Genius is evenly distributed. Opportunity is not.”
— The SankoLabs Mission

Design Philosophy
We don't design for the classroom we wish students had. We design for the one they're in.
Works on 2G. Already on every phone. No app downloads required. Students engage where they already are.
All materials are available offline. Students learn when and where connectivity allows — on their schedule, not ours.
Actively pursuing zero-rated data access with MTN, Airtel, and Vodafone — so data costs are never a barrier.
“We don't design for the classroom we wish students had. We design for the one they're in.”

Mentorship
Every SankoLabs graduate is connected to a global professional who has walked the path they are beginning. Mentorship is not optional — it is part of the program.
Live virtual sessions with global professionals across tech, design, sales, and operations. Students see — firsthand — what a career looks like from the inside.
Small cohort-based groups meet regularly with a dedicated mentor for accountability, guidance, and community throughout the bootcamp.
Our top graduates are matched with individual mentors for a 3–6 month post-bootcamp relationship focused on career activation.
