We Change the
Starting Line

Two tracks, built for two different moments in a career. One reaches students before the starting line is set. The other closes the gap for adults already standing at it.

For Students

Youth Bootcamp

Eight weeks for students ages 16 to 18 in Ghana and Nigeria, delivered mobile first. We reach students while the shape of a career is still open, which is the cheapest and most durable moment to intervene.

Mobile first

Mobile first is not a feature in Africa. It is the default reality. We meet students on the device they have and build them toward the environment the work actually happens in. But mobile first does not mean mobile only. We build toward the environment the work actually happens in.

Mobile-first → Computer-ready

The Curriculum

Digital Identity

A professional email address, a LinkedIn profile, and a résumé formatted the way employers outside the region expect to read one.

Design Tools

Enough working fluency in browser based design tools to produce a finished deliverable.

Spreadsheets

Formulas, structured data, and clean reporting, which entry level remote roles assume on day one.

Remote Work

Written asynchronous communication, meeting etiquette across time zones, and shared document habits.

AI Fluency

Using AI as a working assistant, and recognizing where its output needs checking before it is trusted.

Freelancing

Scoping a job, setting a rate, writing a proposal, and getting paid across borders.

What Graduates Leave With

Not a feeling of having attended something. Six artifacts a stranger can inspect, which is the only form of proof that travels.

A professional LinkedIn profile

Complete, current, and written for the roles they are pursuing rather than left as an empty shell.

A designed CV and portfolio

Real work, produced during the program, that a prospective employer or client can open and evaluate.

An AI fluency certificate

Demonstrated competency using AI tools on real work, rather than awareness that the tools exist.

A freelance platform profile

An active profile on a freelance marketplace, set up and ready to take a first client.

A SankoLabs certificate

Issued on completion, backed by the coursework and assessments the student actually finished.

A mentor connection

An introduction to a global professional mentor, so the relationship outlasts the eight weeks.

How It Is Delivered

We don't design for the classroom we wish students had. We design for the one they're in, which means the constraints below are requirements rather than accommodations.

Materials Work Offline

Every core material can be downloaded and used with no connection at all. A student who loses connectivity for two days loses two days of messages, not two days of the curriculum.

Low Bandwidth Delivery

Content is built to move over a weak, expensive connection. We do not assume video streams, and we do not design lessons that quietly consume a student’s data budget for the month.

No App Downloads Required

Students engage through what is already on the phone. Nothing to install, no storage to clear, no device that turns out to be unsupported.

Zero-Rated Data Access

Data cost should never be the reason a student stops. We are pursuing zero-rated access with mobile network operators: a goal we are working toward, not an arrangement we have in place today.

For Adults

Remote Ready Program

4 weeks
Adults entering remote work

Four weeks for adults preparing for remote employment. Companies hiring remotely keep finding capable candidates who are not remote ready. The Remote Ready Program closes that specific gap in four weeks, and then measures whether it closed.

What the Program Builds

Async Communication

Written, asynchronous updates a manager in another time zone can read instead of chase.

Professional Presence

A credible professional digital presence: the profile, the portfolio, and the way they show up on a call.

The Remote Toolset

Fluency in the tools the work runs on: video calls, shared documents, and task trackers.

Time-Zone Collaboration

Handoffs that land inside the overlap, and a working day that accounts for the eight hours of difference.

Self-Direction

Reliability without daily supervision, which is the thing a distributed team is really hiring for.

Why These Five

None of the five are technical skills, and that is the point. Candidates are rarely turned down because they cannot do the work. They are turned down because a hiring manager cannot yet tell whether they will communicate clearly in writing, stay reliable without supervision, or hold a thread across an eight hour time difference.

Those are the things a résumé cannot demonstrate and an interview only gestures at. They are also learnable in four weeks, which is why the program is four weeks long.

What Graduates Leave With

Five things a candidate carries out of the program, each of which an employer can open, watch, or verify.

A portfolio of the work they produced

The real tasks they completed during the program, assembled so an employer can open and judge them.

An updated LinkedIn profile

Rewritten for the roles they are actually pursuing, and current as of the day they finish.

A completed mock interview

A full remote interview, run and reviewed, so the first real one is not the first one.

A written endorsement letter

Documenting the measured improvement: where they started, where they finished, and what the rubric says about the distance.

The Remote Ready Certificate

Issued on completion of the coursework and both sides of the assessment.

The Assessment

The Remote Readiness Simulation

The Remote Readiness Simulation is how we replace an opinion about a candidate with a measurement of one. Candidates complete real work tasks, the kind an actual remote role would hand them, rather than answering questions about how they would approach such tasks.

That work is scored against a defined rubric at entry, before the program begins, and again at exit. Two scores against the same rubric, separated by the program. The entry score is not a filter and not a verdict. It is the baseline that makes the exit score mean something.

Each candidate then receives a written endorsement letter documenting their measured improvement: where they started, where they finished, and what the rubric says about the distance between the two.

Real work tasks

Candidates do the work rather than describe it. What gets scored is output, not self-assessment.

Scored at entry and exit

The same defined rubric, applied twice. Improvement is a measured difference, not an impression.

A written endorsement letter

Documenting the measured improvement, so the candidate carries evidence rather than a claim.

SankoLabs prepares and assesses candidates. We do not place them. We are not a staffing agency, a recruiter, or an employer, and we do not broker jobs. What we produce is a prepared candidate and an honest, documented measurement of their readiness. What they do with it is theirs.

What Is Running Now

In progress · August 2026

Cohort Asaawa

Cohort Asaawa began in August and is currently in progress. It is our first, which means it is also the cohort that tells us which parts of this program work as designed and which parts we rewrite before the next one.

In progress · September 2026

Cohort Nkiru

Our second cohort, and the first whose candidates came to us by referral from a talent partner. They complete the Remote Ready Program, are measured at entry and exit, and go back to the organization that referred them.

Live

SankoLabs Academy

Our learning platform is live. Candidates complete their coursework and their assessments there.
